ANRB-0086
Regular price $7,525.00This stately man’s chapan from mid-19th century Bukhara is woven in a bold golden damask motif on a plum-purple silk ground. Lined with silk-faced cotton and bordered with a woven tape, this robe exemplifies the opulence of male outerwear in urban Central Asia during this period. Its tailored shoulders, flared body, and long sleeves are characteristic of Bukharian men’s coats of the time. The garment features minor stains on the lining, consistent with its age and use.
