I am a masterpiece
Did you notice the beautiful green "abrash" across my body? I am talking about the different shades of green. They are not scars or stains. They are my birthmark! Well, I am made using hand-spun wool yarns which vary in density and twist. Some parts of the yarns absorb more dye, some less. My parents didn’t know how my abrash would come alive until the yarns were taken out of the dye bath, dried, and of course, woven into a carpet (me!). Goodness, were they proud when I was born.
I look rather subtle, but if you look at me closely, you will see tiny intricate designs all across me. I am a full AND high-density-knot carpet. It took months and months for the most skilled Turkish woman to make me, knot-by-knot, and by hand no less. Oh by the way, I am ALL NATURAL. My beautiful colors come from indigo and camomile.
