Silk brocade with printed cotton lining and black cotton tape trim. A repair on the lower backside has been sensitively executed using silk velvet, added by us to preserve the structure while respecting the aesthetic integrity of the original textile.
This striking robe features an elaborate golden floral brocade woven against a lavender ground, characteristic of 19th-century Uzbek ceremonial wear. The flared silhouette and extended sleeves enhance its sculptural form, while the interior is lined in hand-printed cotton in contrasting stripes and floral patterns, revealing the garment’s layered craftsmanship.
