Using very soft and lightweight antique handwoven wool from Sivas Province in eastern Turkey, this piece draws from the traditional waistband cloths once worn by women in local village dress. Its finely spaced red and ivory checks are softened by age and use, offering texture, subtle color variation, and cultural richness.

The reverse is made from loosely woven cotton in a warm terracotta tone, accented with softly raised marigold-colored dots. The fabric has a slightly bulky, tactile quality that contrasts beautifully with the wool front, adding earthy texture and visual warmth to the composition.

A timeless harmony of tribal craft and woven elegance. This pillow pair is made from vintage handwoven wool fabric, most likely originating from the Sivas region of Anatolia, Turkey. The dense texture offers a soft yet durable surface, well-suited for daily use. The reverse features handwoven silk in an ikat stripe, allowing either side to be displayed with equal charm. With their clean symmetry and quiet strength, these pillows evoke a grounded sophistication in any interior.

Recommended insert size: 40 × 40 cm (16 × 16 in) to 43 × 43 cm (17 × 17 in). We recommend using an insert slightly larger than the cover for a full look. Inserts not included. You can also order custom-size pillow inserts from us using the "Contact Us" feature below. Production takes approximately 2 weeks.

Our SUISHO Silk Velvet Pillow Cover is made of our SUISHO Handwoven Silk Velvet Ikat Fabric. Each pillow will be made in our studio in Istanbul after the order. The fabric will be cut to best compliment the pattern of the fabric, resulting in slight differences in size.
