This exquisite Syrian Kurdish woman’s coat dates to the mid-19th century and reflects the intricate textile traditions of northern Syria. Woven from silk and lavishly adorned with metallic gold embelishment, the coat features a bold geometric zigzag pattern, creating a dazzling visual rhythm. Diamond-shaped appliqués accent the chest, symbolizing protection and aesthetic refinement.
